One of the profoundest truths of Scripture is Paul’s depiction of Christ’s love as having four dimensions: breadth, length, depth, and height. While some expositors insist that Paul “is probably not thinking of anything special to be associated with each” and that we should “not interpret the four dimensions but only the vastness of this love,” we must disagree because words having meaning. Yes, taken together these show the all-encompassing nature of Christ’s love, but each one individually demonstrates a unique dimension of it. Taken from Pastor Watson’s recently released exposition of Ephesians, we hope this will be a blessing to every reader.
