Using the five NT occurrences of the Greek noun paraklētos, (Jn. 14:16; 14:26; 15:26; 16:7–8; and 1 John 2:1), God gives us provisions for the five basic difficulties in the Christian life. This is the fifth: God has made provision for the problem of sin that still remains in our flesh. This includes a basic study of the doctrinal foundation of sanctification.

This episode also brings to a close the first part of these meditations, Knowing Our Lord. The next episode will begin the second section on Loving Our Lord.
